The countdown starts.......

in approximately 6 days our first BIG payment is due for Asher's adoption. We are short by $4,000.00. We know that God will provide.

Because God knows all things.

Because God sees all things.

Because God can DO anything!!!

I found this quote on my friend, Nicole's blog, from William Carey:

Expect great things from God. Attempt great things FOR God.

We ask for your prayers!!!

Wii are open for business!!!

In efforts to raise money for Asher's adoption, we are going to have a little fun!!! We are going to give away a Wii!! (man, I really wanna keep it.......but we need to raise money to get our boy home! So my Wii must wait!)

For every $10 that you donate, your name will go into the drawing to win your very own Wii!!! For example: if you donated $20, your name would go in twice; if you donated $50, your name would go in 5 times; if you donated $100, your name would go in 10 times!!! You get the picture.

Another wonderful item to be given away by a generous lady in the south, Gloria.....(aka, my sister) is 10 bars of soap from Kindagoaty! (yes mam, you get all 10 bars - one prize!) And let me tell you people, this stuff is FABULOUS! You want to feel pampered....this is the stuff for you! It's simply amazing soap! And let me tell you something else, the soap retails for $6 to $12 a bar...yes per bar. The soap is made from the highest quality ingredients, blending natural oils with pure Goat's Milk (no water added), and pure natural Essential Oils!

Any Longaberger lovers out there? This is the retired 2000 Deck the Halls basket combo. Beautiful basket. Inside there are sweet little compartments to store all kinds of little Christmas items! It's been donated by a semi-nice lady....my other sister, Cherri, aka ReRe. Thanks for the donation my lovely sister!

How about a gorgeous necklace with matching bracelet?? I just love this set! I could not get the picture to turn out very well. You just can't see the colors that well. The stones are pale pink and pale green. Just precious! I think someone could really enjoy this!!!

So get in on the action by simply clicking on the "chip-in" button on the right side of the blog to donate!!

Just to recap: we are raffling off a Wii, 10 bars of Kindagoaty soap, a retired Longaberger Christmas Basket (2000 Deck the Halls basket combo) and a beautiful necklace with matching bracelet set!

The way this will work: We post the items, you donate or leave your name, we keep track of each donation and every time a person donates you are assigned a number or multiple numbers depending on the donation, (again we keep track) once we reach the deadline, December 16, we will hold one big momma drawing!! We will do this the old fashion way, we will write down all the numbers and cut them out, drop them in a big ole hat and let one of my kiddos draw out one winner at a time!! We will capture all the fun on video and post the video as soon as possible after the drawing ends!

(however, you don't have to donate - you can simply leave a comment with your name to get entered)

We know God is moving and doing great things to help us bring Asher home! We appreciate all of your help! We pray that everyone that aids in our endeavor be blessed!!!

Let the fundraising begin!!!

We are off and running!! To say it's been busy around here is an understatement! (you would think Asher is coming home tomorrow - don't I wish!) Anyway, this adoption is quite different that our past China adoptions. A large chunk of the funds are due upfront! So we are busy busy busy doing any and all kinds of fund raising.

To name a few: multi-family garage sale, bake sale, Pampered Chef fund raiser, on line auction/raffle........bracelets for sale, etc.....you name it.....we hope to do it!!! So please check back often, you might be able to check a few items off your Christmas shopping list!!!

So, without further ado............we have officially started...........drum roll please.............with the Pampered Chef fund raiser!!! You can shop from the comfort of your couch....or bed....or, dare I say it, you know me, I'm gonna say it, toilet. There, I said it.

Check out this site: www.pamperedchef.biz/leighreed

Once you click on the link, towards the bottom left of the page you will see "shop online" - click there. You will be directed to a page that asks for the hostess/organization name....just enter "Farley". You will see us listed, just click on our names.......then shop!!!

This is my pal, Leigh Reed. She is the most amazing PC director on the PLANET! Twenty percent (20%) of any products you purchase goes directly to help fund our adoption. Very nice. So, do some Christmas shopping, house warming presents, hostess presents (you know you're gonna be invited to friend's houses this season - don't wanna go empty handed!) stock up for upcoming birthdays......you name it PC has items for all occasions!

We appreciate any and all orders!!! (so does Asher!)

I hope everyone has a blessed and healthy Christmas season! Happy shopping!! Remember your dollars will help change the life of a precious little boy!!!

It's official! There will be 3.....

black headed children in this house!! God told us there was another Farley child out there. We prayed and discussed, and prayed and discussed.......and prayed!!! You get the picture. Anyway, we got the official word yesterday that he is ours!

Let's back up a smidge..........

We were drawn to the Celebrate Children International's Taiwan program...for several reasons. We received many referrals to consider. And it's it funny how God lays the ground work for you? When we came home from China with Keegan, our first adoption, we said, "well, if we ever adopt again, we will adopt a "special needs" child. Thirteen months later we were in China again bringing home our second child, a special needs child, Miss Romy!!!

Again, not truly planning on adopting again, but saying, "well, if we ever adopt again, we will adopt an older child". Older children have a tougher time being placed in a family. Simply due to their age. Adam and I both have thought, what if Keegan or Romy had been overlooked and not adopted as an infant or toddler? I can't imagine missing out on either one of them, simply due to their ages? There are all kinds of "Keegan's and Romy's" just hoping for someone to love them and tuck them in a night but may never know a family, again, because of their age. My heart breaks for these kids.

So, the journey began. We contacted CCI and officially began the Taiwan adoption program. Within a few weeks our son found us!

Taiwan is a truly amazing program. Different than China, in that a committee determines if you are a good match for the child. So after requesting to adopt our little man, we had to wait. And those of you that are blessed enough to know me......well, patience is not my strong suit!! I received a phone call yesterday that changed our lives!

Our social worker, Julie, called and said she received an email from Taiwan stating that there were 2 families interested in him and that the committee simply could not decide between the two of us! So, they took the homestudies (a report that tells you everything and more about the family) and the photos and let the little boy decide which family he wanted to be his!!!

He said he had always wanted to be a big brother to two sisters!!! HE CHOSE US!!! We are blessed and thrilled!!! Needless to say, a little freaked out!!! (but in a good way)

Here he is!!! Soon to be Asher Michael Farley!
